The NYCity Slickers are pleased to present Broadway Bluegrass, Broadway tunes with kick-ass bluegrass style arrangements. One of NYC’s premier Americana bluegrass bands, the NYCity Slickers are an eight-piece, high energy, band which combines the wailing tight harmonies of three gal singers with the hard driving sound of five Broadway musicians on banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, bass & accordion. With female-fronted, three-part harmony driven arrangements, The NYCity Slickers depart from traditional male-driven bluegrass resulting in a synthesis of the Dixie Chicks, Pistol Annies and Rhonda Vincent. Their unique “City Style Bluegrass” is an eclectic mix of traditional bluegrass, Americana pop, delta blues, zydeco, gospel, originals and covers.
The NYCity Slickers will be joined by several Broadway actors (to be announced), performing everything Broadway with a bluegrass twang. Get ready to side step your way to Feinstein’s/54 Below.
