2012 Mississippi Home Tour - Schedule


The NYCity Slickers are coming to Mississippi! Inspired by a genuine love of our Mississippi roots and authentic American roots music, we have been thrilling NYC audiences with our unique "Big Apple Bluegrass" and are now excited to entertain the folks from back home. Over the past 4 years, we have evolved our music by incorporating classic Southern genres such as Delta blues, zydeco and country into our progressive bluegrass, signature sound. Themes that continue to inspire our music spring from our love of family, home, Southern heritage and the inherent good in the struggles of the common man. This "Mississippi Home" tour is a reflection of this musical journey. "Home" is at the heart of bluegrass and the South and we are thrilled to be coming full circle, bringing our "Big Apple Bluegrass" music down to our family and fans in Mississippi.
